New Classroom Block

Pupil numbers had reached over 1300 by 2012, with some class groups exceeding 130. KRDP has provided funds for a new classroom block to be built. This was completed towards the end of 2012 and adds a further four classrooms. It will allow class sizes to be reduced to around 90 pupils. This seems very large in comparison with UK schools but the staff at Butta Primary School feel this is “more manageable”. Further increases to between 1400 and 1500 are expected during the next school year so this will not last for long!
