The Foundation for the Development of Needy Communities:
Based in nearby Nantondome village, FDNC provides vocational training for young people who have not completed their education, to equip them with practical skills to earn a living. Unusually for Uganda, it also provides secure accommodation and training for children with special needs.
Workshops:
We support a number of workshops that employ members of the community who are traditionally marginalised, including single parents, disabled and other disadvantaged people. We buy their products and sell them at events in the UK to raise funds for KRDP projects.
Uganda Women’s Concern Ministry
UWCM works to support and empower women and girls in Mbale and the surrounding area. We have supported their work financially and also by buying craft items, particularly jewelry, that they produce to improve the women’s livelihood.
