We are so used to photocopiers and computer printers that we have forgotten about duplicating machines. However they are still made in large numbers for use in developing countries where electricity supplies can be unreliable or non-existent.
Butta Primary School used to pay for classroom worksheets and examination papers to be printed at another school. This was expensive and they were never sure they would receive papers when they needed them. They now have their own duplicator. It can be operated electrically or manually so they can always print the materials they need, when they need them. They also do this for Kimaluli High School and have the opportunity to provide a printing service for other schools.
